Happy Thanksgiving!
October 7, 2022Or a cuppa of Joe?
October 17, 2022Did you know….that according to scientists, regularly drinking tea or coffee can provide a variety of health benefits? And while this has nothing to do with mortgages, a little bit fun can be, you know, fun 😉
So, how do tea and coffee compare from a health benefit perspective? Here’s what the research says:
A SOURCE OF FIBER
You love your morning coffee, turns out it’s providing you with fiber in your diet. A recent study found that coffee contains between 1.1 and 1.8 grams of fiber per cup – depending on whether it’s filtered, espresso or instant. Given that our minimum daily recommendation of fiber is 25 grams, its not that much, but……… it’s more fiber than you find in orange juice!
Tea has no fiber.
MENTAL FOCUS
If you’re tired, need energy, or need to get something accomplished, the caffeine in both tea and coffee can help you concentrate. Studies have shown that while caffeine can improve your attention span, vigilance, alertness, and reaction time…. too much caffeine can lead to jitteriness and over-arousal, which can end up hurting your performance.
